Presentation: Building Mobile Applications with Windows Azure Mobile Services

Abstract:
As Mobile devices become more popular in the workplace, many enterprises are being pushed toward mobile development. Many times developers must create the same back-end systems over and over for each new line of business applications. Microsoft has identified this problem and developed the Windows Azure Mobile Services platform as the solution. With Mobile Services, developers can utilize re-usable APIs and services to interact with core Azure technologies such as SQL Azure and Service Bus. Mobile Services provide simple APIs to integrate storage, authentication, and messaging to your custom application. It greatly lowers the barrier to entry for Cloud development.

This presentation will show developers how to leverage Windows Azure Mobile Services to build a world class mobile application with very little effort. Watch Justin add a cloud based services to handle user authentication, push notifications, and data persistence to a MVC web application and Windows Phone 8 application. Justin will also demonstrate the usage of server side scripting and custom APIs that are now available to developers. Justin will also explain the business value that is added when utilizing Mobile Services.
